The Long Man is a generous subject and there is always more to learn. Get in touch.
There are three reasons to write.
If you have a correction or a source. The book and the site are both works in progress. If you have spotted an error, or know of an archive, photograph or oral tradition that ought to be in here, please write — with your reference if you have one. Corrections are gratefully received and credited in the next revision.
If you would like to be notified about the book. Pre-orders open mid-2026. Leave your address below and you’ll get a single note when the book is ready — nothing else, no newsletter, no marketing.
If you have a question. Stuart will reply, eventually. Slow correspondence is part of the project.
